The RTL based option creator is used
to instantiate the template grefcode with a
Tk Window. The used creator window must have a
-class
property.
Acceptable Tk Windows are: toplevel for floating windows, and frame for embedded windows.
See the options manual entry for details on the standard options.
Tcl Variable, this variable maintains the list of properties, which are under any circumstances included in the code generation.
Tcl Variable, the list displays all the window properties, which have to be ignored during code generation. Typical examples are »colormap«, »vinst« ...
Tcl Variable, for maintaining a list of »WM« geometry properties. The properties listed in the associated list yield generated code for toplevel-wm geometry managers. Conventional properties are »title«, »geometry« ...
Creates the property related preference page.
The dominant part of this page is property related. Here, code generation can be »enforced« or »ignored« –suppressed– based on particular property names.
Jeszra only writes properties when their values differ from the default. Defining enforced or ignored properties overrules Jeszra’s default behaviour.
The properties, listed in »Enforce«, are also applied on »image« and »menu item«s.
A third mechanism exists in Jeszra.
This mechanism is being used inside of
tcledit.tcl
:
The rtl_gridwin
template is being extended to
suppress instance specific properties.
Example 6.1. Excerpt from tclEdit
set rat(ignore,$arg,xscrollcommand) 1 set rat(ignore,$arg,yscrollcommand) 1
At last, there is a specific WM-geometry manager section. This section defines what WM-properties are available via the Inspector(n) and included in the code generation.
A Window created through the grefcode command exposes various functions. Using these functions has the following general form:
object.option(?arg, arg, ...?)
PathName is the same as the window path name. Option and the args determine the exact behavior of the command. The following commands are possible for this window:
Returns the current value of the configuration option given by option. Option may have any of the values accepted by the grefcode command.
Query or modify the configuration options of the window. If no option is specified, returns a list describing all of the available options for pathName (see Tk_ConfigureInfo for information on the format of this list). If option is specified with no value, then the command returns a list describing the one named option (this list will be identical to the corresponding sublist of the value returned if no option is specified). If one or more option-value pairs are specified, then the command modifies the given window option(s) to have the given value(s); in this case the command returns an empty string. Option may have any of the values accepted by the grefcode command.
Customize code according to HCI Guides Rows / Columns and activate stripes.
Deals with stripes, platform specific size requirements and customizable columns. Rewritten : 11/26/2007, Roger Revision : 09/18/2008, Roger–added customizable column.
